Matthew Shaw's carving makes full use of the variety of form, texture and surface finish afforded by his materials particularly from Zimbabwe and the stone that he now sources from the UK.  The scale of his work extends from small tactile works, designed to be handled to larger works admirably suited to domestic display internally and externally.  His work has a comfortable contemplative quality where multiple ideas and feelings are suggested in a subtle yet purposeful way. 

He is happy to take commissions or discuss the sale of completed works. Works are also available as copies in bronze.
