Louise Gray incorporates the mediums of film, painting and site-specific installation. Being drawn to the materiality of textiles and painting on the one hand, and the transient fleeting nature of light and the illusion of film on the other, Louise is interested in encouraging the interplay of the analogue and digital in her work.

A graduate of languages from Edinburgh University, Louise has worked and travelled extensively in central and South America. Inspired by the vibrant colours, textiles, cultures, natural light and dramatic landscapes, Louise documented her travels through photography and video. She became interested in film, both fiction and documentary, and the possibilities of combining the two through experimental film. During the past ten years Louise has worked as an arts educator of film and digital media and has completed an HND in Fine Art.
