Joanna Bielska, with a background in textile design and a masters in art education, brings an eye for design and an experimental approach to watercolour media. Use of non-traditional application methods and mixed media utilises the luminosity of watercolours, while maintaining surface interest and texture.

Recent work includes landscaped inspired by the countryside of North Wales, where the undulating terrain offers unusual viewpoints and flattens perspective, turning fields into interlocking blocks of colour. After teaching art in schools in both London and New York, Joanna now devotes more time to painting, and teaches classes for children and adults from her home studio.
