Elizabeth MacDonnell studied at the Chelsea school of art from 1958-1960 and latterly, having moved to Putney she continued her studies at The Putney Art School. Within that time she explored many mediums including ceramics, stained glass, calligraphy, mosaic and printing, alongside her great love, painting.
She has sold her work throughout that time in many mixed exhibitions and several solos. Elizabeth was chairman of The Society of Fulham Artists from1981-2000, where she curated the biannual exhibitions by a wide number of Artists and Potters and which she was able to show her own paintings. Her recent achievement has been the printing of a book of paintings. A beautiful and moving visual description of the poem Sea Fever by John Masefield.
